The fabric is delightful, terrific to the touch & feel. And excellent for colder months in southern Australia when a teeshirt does not 'do'. The shirt length is a bit longer than usual; this is okay if the shirt is worn out -- I can't imagine (with the extra fabric) that it would 'work' if tucked in. I chose plain blue color, coz I didn't want people to think I was wearing a pyjama shirt (the striped ones) out & about (not that I wear pyjamas anytime!). Finally to say: I managed to buy the right size, the achievement of which is a lottery with online clothes purchases. (I bought online, from southeastern Australia.) Overall, an excellent product, an excellent purchase; Lee Valley recommends itself for quality & customer service. Again.

Should I go up a size if will need to tumble dry?

Hi, many thanks for your interest in our Flannel Grandfather Shirts. Due to the nature of the fabric, we do not recommend tumble drying these shirts. Tumble drying 100% cotton flannel will cause shrinkage (which you can go up a size to account for this) but tumble drying can also cause pilling on the fabric. We highly recommend washing on a cool cycle and then line drying if possible. If you have further questions please contact us by email on customercare@leevalley.ie
