For over 20 years the team at Lee Valley Ireland have made annual donations to The Greater Chernobyl Cause. We donate: jackets, warm flannel pajamas, shirts, and Aran knits. Our donations have been worn by the impoverished in Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan

The charity’s head Fiona Corcoran was deeply moved when the world's worst nuclear disaster occurred at Chernobyl in the Ukraine in 1986. The Greater Chernobyl Cause began as a response to the world's worst nuclear disaster but has now widened its mission to concentrate on the human casualties of the break-up of the former Soviet Union, shipping humanitarian aid, organizing food programmes and supplying vital medical equipment.
